About fading-dream

In my desolate state, I stand unknowing of what lies just beyond the current second. Of course, I can dream and imagine what fate might have in store for me, but ultimately, it is my decision. My life is like a wave on the sea that starts big and bold but slowly relinquishes all life to the claws of death which will soon bind me. This breath which now I take might possibly change the world around me, or bring me to my demise. If only there were a way...

This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much all of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.
