Alex’s entire face turned cherry red, and they looked away as quickly as xer neck would allow. “I don’t want you to be uncomfortable, though.”

Alex's eyes widened. "You want the couch?" Guilt flooded their system, filling their stomach with the intense nausea of a disappointment. Why didn't Alex ask them instead of just assuming? ...

“Right, so take the bed.” Alex gestured, face burning slightly.
