Ian I study them before squeezing Ella's hand and looking at the lake. So weird...

Jace She falls asleep and I soon follow suit.

Ian Lucian shows up a few minutes later, smiling in greeting at me and sitting beside his girlfriend.

Jace I slip my shoes off and tuck us in again, holding her close as she tries to fall asleep.

Ian I flash a smile at them, staying out of it.

Jace I wrap my arms around her and sigh, calming down.

Ian My smile widens as I sigh and look back at the lake.

Jace I take her face in my hands and flash a smile, "Ray, you won't. I'll be right with you. Promise."

Ian I smile, "Me too."

Jace I nod and glance at it again, "We'll figure it out then."

Ian I glance back at her, studying her.

Jace I nod and take a deep breath, kissing her forehead, "Just relax. I'm here now. You're alright. Do you know what the mark means?"

Ian I smile and scoot closer, kissing her cheek as she blushes.
