Jace I nod back and sigh.

Lucian I smile and watch, Ian helping Blithe out and setting him in between the two.

Jace "For leaving?" I stroke her hair back. "That's good."

Lucian I sit on the other side of Halee again and Ian takes Ella's side.

Jace I nod and keep her close, sighing.

I know.

Lucian I smile at them and step aside so Ian and Ella can come in, closing the door behind them.

Jace I kiss the top of her head, "Give it time."

Lucian I flash a smile and Ian sets Kyle down. The little boy walks in as if it's his own home, waddling up to Blithe.

Jace I close my eyes and sigh, keeping her close.

Lucian I hesitate before getting up and answering the door.

Jace I tighten my grip around her, "And some promises are broken, Rayah. We can't change things. We can only look forward."

Lucian I smile and watch too, wrapping my arms around Halee.

Jace I swallow, "But she doesn't have to fight anymore. She doesn't have to suffer."

Lucian I smile at it all and sigh.
