Lucian Her eyes... My body screams for me to freeze, or to run back to the house, but I tune it all out. I take another step forward.

Brb. Lunch. And is it bad that I want to traumatize Lucian with the experience of being bitten? ... okay, not traumatize ... but still.

Jace I snake my arms around her hips and hold her close.

Lucian I shake my head, "You won't hurt me, Halee. I know you."

Jace I smile and lean down, pressing my lips against hers and closing my eyes as well.

Lucian I study her, swallowing again, but take a step forward anyway.

Jace She looks into my eyes and I smile wider, looking into hers.

Lucian I catch sight of her, but something within tells me not to move, "Halee? W-what are you doing?"

Jace I smile and chuckle at her, kissing her back.

Lucian She disappears and I look around, crossing my arms again, "Halee?" I wasn't seeing things. Not again. Not this time. I couldn't have gone back to that...

Jace I smile and kiss her forehead, "Love you too, Ray."

Lucian The door slams shut upstairs and I catch sight of Halee running to the lake outside of the window. Confused, I hesitate before following her.

Jace I smile and tighten my grip around her, sighing.

Lucian I study him before looking over Halee. Shaking my head, I walk downstairs and try to focus on Blithe.

Jace I smile back and kiss the top of her head, making a funny face when I find it tastes like chlorine.
