Chance I thank the doctor and shake his hand as he leaves, looking at Katie.

Nic I sit beside her and keep holding one of her hands, staying close.

Nic I nod and kiss her cheek, resting my temple against hers.

Chance Once she's seated, I kiss her forehead and find the doctor. I bring him back to her and have him examine her ankle, keeping her hand in mine.

Nic I study her, "I-I'll get a job and take care of the money and stuff. You just take it easy."

Chance I nod and kiss her forehead, "Let's go sit down. Where's the doctor? There is a doctor on this ship, right?"

Chance I hurry to Katie and wrap an arm around her waist in support, "Is it your ankle?"

Nic I look at her, deciding on a few things, "You're going to finish the school year, right? Or most of it. It's only a few more months. No one ...

Chance Something flickers in her eyes and I sit up, losing my smile slightly. Studying her, i know something is wrong and stand to walk backstage in wait of her.

Nic I open my eyes and glance down at her stomach, resting my chin on her shoulder and thinking as I run my thumb over it.

Chance I smile wider and chuckle a bit, clapping.

Chance I find a seat and smile at Katie throughout her performance, knowing that she's singing to me.
