Jace I take her face in my hands, "Baby, don't feel guilty. You aren't doing anything wrong."

Jace "Don't starve yourself, Rayah," I whisper. "Please. Not here."

Chance I flash a smile and shrug, "I just... feel weird around them after I remembered our arguments."

Jace I scoot closer and kiss her temple, "It doesn't hurt, Ray. I promise."

Jace I study her, "I don't mind it, Ray."

Jace I blink a few times, "I mean wrong. Why does it feel wrong?"

Jace "Why does it feel weird?" I ask.

Jace I study her, "Why not?"

Chance I smile and kiss her forehead, "S'okay, K. Don't worry about it."

Jace I study her and wrap an arm around her, "Drink then. I'm right here."

Jace Studying her, I walk to her side and sit against the wall. I take her hand and sigh, "What's wrong? Other than the storm, I mean."

Chance I smile and squeeze Katie's hand again, leading her out.

Jace I move closer as well, wrapping my other arm around her, "S'okay, Ray."

Jace Sighing as well, I roll over and wrap an arm around her in comfort.

Chance "We're great, thanks for asking," my mother responds, beaming at her.
