Preston I keep my arm around her and hesitate before looking at her again.

Preston I nod and look at the window, sighing.

Chance I find I've never felt more at peace, more content with staying still, as long as I can remember anyway.

Preston I study her again, "'Cause I don't break hearts. Never had the chance."

Preston I look back at her and study her as well, "You can let me in."

Preston I nod and look at the window, "Haven't fallen in love yet. Had some affairs and my fun, but nothing special."

That could work too. Move the vote to between the three then?

Preston I study her, lightly smiling again, "Tell me."

Preston "Indescribable things that have scarred my memory," I say.

Preston I narrow my eyes at her playfully, "Nasty stuff."

Preston I nod, "It was disgusting."

Preston I nod again, "They started getting really mushy about twenty years ago. I left after that..."

Preston I look down at her, "We live in the same building, but they gave me my own apartment, my own floor basically."

Preston I sense her tense and rub her arm in comfort, sighing.

Preston I glance at her, smiling lightly still, and study the mischievous look in her eyes.
