Nic I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her close, closing my eyes.

Nic I nod and hesitate before pressing my lips against hers.

Nic I narrow my eyes, smirking back, "Fine then."

Nic "Then why can't I have a reason?" I ask, still studying her.

Chance "Neither have I," I respond, smiling sheepishly.

Nic I study her again, "Why not?"

Nic I nod slowly and glance at the mouth of the alleyway, "What else have you heard?"

Nic "What in particular don't you believe?" I ask, studying her.

Nic I stop, keeping a foot distance between us, "You've heard the rumors. You tell me."

Chance I watch her look at them instead of enlightening myself with their presence, smiling at her.

Nic I smile wider and shrug again, "You should be."

Nic I shrug and follow her, smiling with, "Just that."

Chance I smile and keep my arms around her, looking at the same place she is.

Nic I smile and watch her, "Told you."

Nic I follow her into an alleyway, disintegrating and appearing beside her with a "Boo."
