Jace smiles at her and lifts her chin to kiss her. "It's fine."

He heads upstairs, slowly to prevent further issues, and plops on the bed, sighing.

He watches confusedly as Gemini and Andrew walk into the guest bedroom and then turns to Rayah. "I think we should go upstairs..."

He thanks her and uses the wall to bring himself to sit on the couch, hating how formal things felt between them.

Jace squints to be able to see Rayah. "I-I can't get up... My head..."

He tries to stand, but can't, cursing under his breath. "Ray?" He calls, his voice sounding more like a whimper than anything.

Jace's heart starts randomly racing and he's out of breath for no reason. Not sure what else to do, he descends the stairs again before collapsing with his vision hazed.

He swallows before jumping up and following her. Halfway up the stairs, a wave of lightheadedness hits him and he has to stop, leaning on the railing.

Jace watches Rayah before looking to the bedroom window. Hold on, guys. We're coming.

Jace swallows and falls down, his arm shaking. He tries to even his breathing, barely hearing the cries of the twins from the house.

Jace, skin tingling, rolls away from her and stands, out of breath. He begins regaining feeling, the burn on his arm scorching.

She pushes him down and lifts her fist, engulfed in flames. Just as she brings it to make contact with his face, things click and he regains control over himself. ...

Jace stands and shrugs off the flame lingering on his arm. He lifts a hand and beckons her forward with a smirk.
