Most likely this has been posted before, but I'm having trouble beginning a story. I have the characters and conflict, I just can't seem to do a good introduction.

That's great advice, all. Another thing I do sometimes is to ask my characters what they're up to.

Hello. I got a question: how do you all deal with that dreaded block?

My style is to either use a common name or totally make something up. With the second, though, I find a lot of them are already done. *shrugs*

Add me to your group! lol I just write things as they come. Which means I have a lot of ideas, but nothing in order. Ugh.
