Sadie glanced around, sensing the tension. “Well, that’s awesome, anyway. Do you like it?”

“…Yeah.” She sobered a bit. “Those are always sad calls to have to make.”

“That’s sweet.” She smiled a little. “It’s definitely heart warming when the kids write you little letters.”

“That’s great.” She nodded. “I’m sure you’ve made a difference for a lot of kids. Gave them hope for the future they wouldn’t have otherwise had.”

“Ah. That’s gotta be hard, I can’t even imagine.”

“Ahh, nice. Like… therapist? Or CPS? Or…?”
