Ky bit her lip and nodded slowly. “He- Haelar - said it would be okay though.”

Ky nodded, still blushing. She was already roped in, she was nearly certain. But she wasn’t going to fight with her mother. Certainly not as soon as she got back.

Ky blushed and blinked at her. “I… I don’t know how to facilitate that, I’m sorry. He never answered me when I did the offering.”

“I think he wants me to go to him,” she said very softly. This was painful, defying her mother. But what was she supposed to do? She couldn’t defy Haelar.
