Ky hesitated, dawdling on the stairs. “Um… I think they… are a little… busy.”

Ky nodded. “I really appreciate that. You’re all so very kind to me.”

Ky returned the hug tightly. “That feels more true than it has in a very long time.”

Ky’s throat constricted a bit at that and she smiled. “You’re so sweet. I missed you so much.”

Ky winced again. “It’s… a long story. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make an ugly face. I’m just very happy to be home and not very eager to think ...

Ky shook herself. “Oh, uh, sorry. I… uh… sorry. I didn’t mean to. I’m fine.” She forced a quick smile.

Ky grimaced but gave a tight nod. “Hopefully.” She’d rather die than go back there.

Ky nodded. “Yeah… I suspect we won’t be back there for quite a while, though.”

Ky nodded. “Sure… Maybe.”

Ky nodded. “I know. Father and I went in some.”

(True!) Ky nodded. “I’m sure… there’s lots of places to… disappear. In that place.”

“Sure.” Ky nodded. “I can help you learn how, then give you some practice ones to figure out.”
