“Yeah, I guess,” Talia agreed with a nod.

Talia shook her head. “Sorry, no. I thought everyone ate it; I have no idea where it stops being made. Where’s nearest.”

Talia nodded as well. “I hope you like it.”

Talia shrugged. “I mean… I don’t know if it’s worth the trouble seeing as none of you have the taste for it… but it’s very good.”

“…I guess it’d be pointless to make it without tomato sauce though.”

“…huh… I wonder if lichen pasta is a thing…”

Talia nodded. “I can’t believe you don’t have it up here. That… seems criminal. It’s so good.”

“It’s delicious,” she asserted.

“No.” She shook her head. “You make it really thin and shaped. These little crooked tubes.” She gestured like an elbow macaroni.

“Wheat. You mix it with eggs and water and… things I’m not sure. And then dry it. Then boil it. And serve it with tomato sauce.”

“It’s the best food in the whole world!”

“… don’t tell me you don’t have pasta?”

“That’s sad.” She furrowed her brow. “What do you put on your pasta then?”

“That’d so sad!”

“You’ve never had a tomato?” Talia asked incredulously.
