Hello. I'm Queenfisher and I'm here to tell you stories.
Here I'll go by Queenfisher or any variant thereof, be it Queen, Fish, Q, Quin, whatever floats your goat. Handle with caution - prolonged exposure may result in ridiculous nicknames and picking your brain about anything related to characters or plotting a.k.a. the infamous Quin's questionbombs. You have been warned.
I'm also 20 years old, a city girl yearning for the country, and an old Fictionpress expat fighting to get out of a several years' writing slump. I can and will enthuse about anything, especially languages, fruit, cats, free hugs and other people's writing. Also, chocolate.
Some of my favourite authors are Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Joe Abercrombie, Susanna Clarke, Cornelia Funke, Tom Holt, John McCrae and D.D.Webb.
My writing is looooong, intricate and archaic and mainly takes the form of short stories and fairytales. Common motifs may include but are not limited to: wise beggars down on their luck, foolish princes they once were, exasperated magicians giving up their heads due to losing a bet, cobblers fixing the leaky moon, birds looking into wells and marrying the eldest daughter of whatever they found in there, castles that lost their hearts to statues, and many more. I have yet to give up on my dream to write a novel.
