About Poetry Misfit

"Words hold a power none can fathom, with the ability to inspire lives or leave them in ruins." This is a quote I coined and adhere to when I create any length of prose or poetry.
I currently work at an integrative medicine clinic full-time, where I experience the duality of being both a student and a teacher. I am constantly learning about natural remedies and the amazing capabilities our bodies have to heal themselves.
I don't aspire to be a writer, I am one, even though I don't have anything published yet. I am aspiring to be a book editor though and joining this platform has been a great asset to exercising the skills needed for providing strong, supportive feedback.

Aficionado of all things creatively gratifying.

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
