The stars still guide me; Wise men; wise word; feather streams; Nebula dust swirls

And cry to the Moon Because my tears are starstruck Frozen to my face

I leave nothing said Stars are better ravaging Like moaning grey wolves

Drowned in memories Like lost love and hopeless grief Flapping away on breath

We find our flight wings, We find our feathers twirling Into old thunderstorms

Fly away with me Birds on the horizon flock Into the sunset

Of jasmine and smoke; The tobacco smell of stores Drive me far away

The still lake surface Crack-cracks as I fall inside And take a deep breath

Brave bees poised sting As if starlight glimmers white And broken shards fall

A white flag for tears Scatters through the sky and grey War horses thunder

From behind the clouds We sang old, old songs of hope To remind ourselves

Of shiny apples That have slid across my hand And fell to grass dew

It is a black jack, Jack knife to the stomach, oh, Those hard heavy blues

We are in danger Like kids chased by packs of cards As if gambling calls
