Through the air, a CadiDragon, suddenly.

There's Something About Cadi

I'm Cadi, your friendly neighbourhood purple dragon of indecision (every town needs one). I've been a YWSer since autumn 2011.

I'm an Real Life Adult in that Big City in the south of England (the bit where it doesn't rain all the time), where I tell computers what to do for a living. (I used to study Computer Science, helpfully defined by university admissions as "the science of computing".)

When I'm trying to avoid work, I usually find myself sat on the internet avoiding the decision of what to do with my time. (Mostly Twitter. No, entirely Twitter.) I'd love to craft masterpieces of fiction, photography, conlanguage, cookery and sketch, but that would require putting down my phone and deciding to what to apply myself.

If you'd like a review, throw me some fiction - short stories or first chapters for preference. If you want to win my heart, bring me Douglas Adams and a Tolkien conlang. Or chocolate. Chocolate's always good.

Interests

Writing, photography, drawing, conlangery, / cooking, spec fiction and puns. / Filling in profiles with poetic rhythm-ery, / 'cause that's just what I think is fun.

Occupation

Software Engineer and Master Procrastinator

Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.
