I have plans for Mercy later on. I just haven't reached that point... Really want to get there, but at the same time, I don't want to rush.

The opposite-ness is great. It's used often in writing... What you've done, I was going for with Layla and Mercy.

PS. Mercy has always been able to read Layla's mind. Layla even says so in this chapter. You could also say that Mercy just knows her that well...
