About BFG

Let's see... how to define myself...

I've become much more scientist and much less writer these past few years, but I'm trying to reconnect with the wordy side of my brain. I read mostly fiction but want to play with writing creative non-fiction. I love being outdoors. I'm way too analytical for my own taste. Great children's books are, in my opinion, the highest form of literature.

Recently read: White Teeth, Nothing Daunted, Flight Behavior, This Is How You Lose Her, Little Bee

Currently reading: Letters to a Young Scientist, The Lost World, Women in the Field

I love to be asked questions, any questions, so please ask away.

P.S. Who here is a fan of Patrick Rothfuss's 'The Kingkiller Chronicles'?

What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.
— J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
