  • I'm editing my chapter. If anyone wants to join me in writerfeedpad, feel free to use the link https://larry.writerfeedpad.com/1

  • So I recently created a discord server for writing/art/gaming/manga and anime but mostly with writing in mind. I know most people probably don't care because I'm a new user they barely know or because they don't use discord but if anyone is interested, slam me with a pm and I'll invite you. That is all <333

  • Can someone help me with pacing and dialogue? I feel like I'm really lacking in those two. I just feel like my dialogue especially feels a little awkward. Probably not the only thing I should improve on. Anyway, if anyone wants to help me with my draft perhaps on writerfeedpad it would be much appreciated.

Hello and welcome to YWS! I'm Jay. Feel free to come to me if you ever have any questions about YWS.

(If I'm ever not on, junior moderators, global moderators and admins definitely would be able to help you out with any questions or concerns you have, and your fellow members would be happy to help as well.)

Before you get settled in, you might want to swing by the rules thread to see what's allowed on the site, and the FAQ thread to figure out how the site works. It explains a lot about the basics of the site, like how to post your works and how to get points. It was really useful to me back when I first joined the site, so hopefully it'll be just as useful for you.

I hope you enjoy your time on YWS!

larry Thank you!Is there anything about separating stanzas on this site that I should know of? Or commands and stuff like that?

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
