I kinda have a problem of where I doubt my writing capabilities too much. I can get compliments but it never seems sufficient enough for me to trust myself. I still look for validation although I know art is subjective. I want to be taken seriously as a skilled writer. I don't want someone to say well this is good for your age. I want to write something over the capabilities people would expect
Mea I think all writers struggle with this at some point or another. The good thing is, you've started writing young, and so you have lots and lots of time to improve, and as you improve, people will forget about your age and just focus on your writing, because your writing made them feel something or was engaging or surprised them in a good way. The more practice you have, the closer you'll be to going above and beyond what people expect.

Anyone willing to help me finish a poem I am currently writing? I'm pretty much done just trying to finish my conclusion and polish it. The message is on growing apart from the people you love, particularly family in this case but I somewhat want it to be interpret-able by anyone

What type of things do you like to write? I write fantasy novels that are sometimes also mysteries, and enjoy writing realistic fiction short stories.
