  • Does anyone know that feeling when you're scared to read a book because you know that something bad is going to happen to one of your favorite characters?

    Curse you, Michael Sullivan!

@SkyeWalker You don't have to keep it up until you crack. Tell someone--your mother for example. You could try explaining how you felt and why you reacted the way you did at that moment. Everyone feels pressure and anxiety at some point in their lives, and I am sure she will be able to understand that. You don't have to beat yourself up; it does no good. Negative self-talk is just a downward spiral that makes you feel worse and worse. The fact that you feel bad about how you reacted shows that you love and respect your mother, and you *are not* a terrible person.

However, you may want to talk to a doctor or other professional, as well. It seems as if your anxiety goes beyond normal "jitters." Don't worry; I feel that way sometimes, too. I really hope you talk to someone and get help!

BTW: What art style *do* you use, if you don't mind me asking? You've got me interested.

In the meantime, I think this picture will cheer you up, especially if you like dogs... :)

SkyeWalker Holy crap, you are a wonderful person. Thank you so much for that. <3

I really don't have words right now. Just. Thank you.

NerdGeek Oh, thank you! I'm so glad I could help you. No one should have to suffer silently; I know I wouldn't want to. Feel free to talk to me whenever you need help or a friend. I might not be available all the time, but I'll make sure to reply to your message. Hang in there!

I want to see people turn and writhe; make them feel things they cannot see and sometimes do not know.
