hey guys it's been a HOT minute and i was just here to search my portfolio but I didn't find what I wanted so here I am to complain a little bc i feel sick and i need to rant.
Anyway, i'm minding my own damn business, going to organize my google drive. a document i didn't remember shows up so i look at it. It's a poem-- I read it over and then realize it popped up because someone editied it a few days ago despite it being months and months old. That someone is a friend who I had a bad ending with and don't talk to anymore. The poem was written during my more depressed times so I can't remember if it's mine or not. The doc belongs to me, I have a vague recollection of hunting for one of the specific words, the doc history says my account typed it on the page, and it follows a lot of my writing trends, tropes, and phrasing. Thing is, I know she wrote poetry too, and there's a chance she had sent it to me and I copied it over to the doc on her behalf or that she was using my acc to start the doc when she wrote it. The poem origionally was addressing a female subject (I only ever wrote abt women at that time) but the friend had changed it to male in the most recent edits she made. She also changed a few wordings, a little bit of layout, and she signed it off with a name I didn't recognize. My gut says it's my poem. So many little things are there that I see in all of my other works. It's my doc, my typing, according to google-- but a big enough part of me is unsure if it's mine so I'm hesitant to say so definitely. I think i wrote it after being inspired by a line of her poetry, if my foggy memory is correct, which is part of why I'm having such a hard time being sure on it. Anyway, I'm just generally worried about why she's making edits on the poem after months of not talking-- edits that imply she's trying to make it more personal to herself (the pronoun change, the signature, etc) so I texted her of course but haven't heard back and honestly might not ever hear back so who knows and I'm worried and I hope she's not trying to use it for anything and I hope I can get confirmation on whos it is and yeah

Carlito Hi! Welcome back (even if it's just for a hot minute).
I don't use google drive very often, so sorry in advance if this is a stupid question. Is it possible to stop sharing with her on google drive? I believe you initially have to allow certain emails access, can you just as easily remove that access? Then she can't see and change your stuff anymore. If you're able to reconcile and become friends again, then maybe you could share with her again, but until then trying to protect your work? Or if you can't remove her access, can you take your stuff off of google drive and save it elsewhere so she wouldn't have access to it?

Hey guys it's me
it's been awhile and I'm sure it's going to continue to be that way. I have a few works I might edit a bit and post in a little while but I've been busy with mental health and writers block.
Some updates-
I have a boyfriend now and he's amazing and he makes me so happy))
I'm doing a little bit of writing still and I certainly plan to continue it with my future but I've just been taking a bit of a break
I'm having an exchange student this coming month and I'm very excited
I'm still vv queer

wow... Yws didn't even come up when I started typing in the name... a heavy day.
Sorry guys. I've been going through a lot. It's not a good time for me.
This site has meant a lot to me and always will. I hope that as things get better I will be able to make a comeback. I love you all. You're wonderful people
