So, the past few months, I've been having a bit of a gradual revelation, but one nonetheless. I'm realizing that sometimes change hurts, stings, and can suffocate you, if you'll allow it. But also, I've come to understand that change is a refreshing opportunity: a cleanse of sorts. This change for me has involved some of my closest friends, with some of whom I have severed all ties. But this change in my life has allowed me to grow closer to my oldest and best friend, and has allowed me to see that we need each other, more now than ever. Anyway, I urge you to embrace the change that comes your way, because everything happens for a reason, and the sting of separation is only a temporary pain.

Hey! I was just checking up on some old status updates, then came across yours. Just wanted to say congrats with the academics. STEM is a great field to go into. Aviation especially sounds exciting.
Paige Thank you Carina! I've missed you very much, and I am so glad to be back.

I have no idea if any of you remember me, which is understandable. I had some free time and decided to return (after likely a million years) to this cool place.
Anyway. I thought maybe I'd give you an update on my life. I'm 16 now, driving, all of that. And, I am officially in college. I have not technically graduated high school yet, I'm putting graduation off so that I can attend college for free. In two years, I'll have my high school diploma, Associate's degree, and be like 80% of the way toward my Bachelor's degree. Maybe that can explain my lack of free time for the past few years. I've been swamped with trying to cram a four-year high school education into my freshman and sophomore years. I also switched schools and left most of my friends, so that I can be on the college campus full-time.
I don't really have much of a life anymore, save for friends from various clubs I'm in and trips to Disney every so often (one of many perks of living 25 minutes from Disney World).
I don't remember what I was interested in doing with my life when I was in the 8th grade, but I do know that now, I am working toward my Aeronautical Science and Human Factors' Psychology degrees. I'd like to work for a government body as an aviation analyst and accident investigator. Many people are surprised to hear that a girl such as myself wants to do a job in such a male-dominated field, but truth be told, I enjoy aviation and I am good at the various skills required to succeed in a job like this.
I still compete in numerous historical and literature competitions, but many of my works would be too boring for YWS to enjoy.
I'd love to hear from all of my old friends; you guys are seriously the best. Please send me some of your recent works, I'd love to catch up. And reach out to me whenever!
Love,
Paige
