I hope you remember me ^_^

Weariness is like a fog.
It settles on the mind without notice
and makes thoughts slumber through summons.
Like a subtle mist it smooths the vision
and makes untrustworthy the visible world.

Weariness is like a sigh.
It is pulled from the lungs without thought
and makes the body slump and rest.
Like a heavy breath it warms the air
and makes relaxed the hectic mind.

Weariness is like a drug.
It enlivens the spirit without care
and makes the mouth say things unsaid.
Like a saintly drink it opens the heart
and makes poetic the lazy soul.

In celebration of the end of school, and the beginning of a whole new experience. I know it's not my best, but it reflects my feelings.

I only just realized I skipped a few months in my poetry plan. Oh no! Well, I have a long poem I wrote in November that I can post now (still counts as last month) and I'll get back on the December one.

Her eyes like golden gems which see it all,
her fur, distinct remembrance, eternally warm.
Her claws are the protector, a ferocity call,
her refined visage only showing the eye of the storm.

To my beautiful cat, Shades. I've also decided to write a short poem at least once a month to post here - just so that I'm at least visiting every now and then
I welcome anyone else to join in with this!

The wings of angels, soft and light, float about my head,
the demon's tale, sharp and dark, hides beneath my bed.
Still awake, I feel the fear that turns my limbs to lead.
Yet, still I know the safety of the angel's immortal thread.

Hello everyone! It's been a long, LONG time since I've been on this site and I never realized how much I missed it. :'(
