Synergy: two or more things coming together to create an effect greater than each individual source. The Story It's modern day, you're a modern civilian, living a modern life. One day you're dragged roughly from your bed, bound and gagged, and thrown from your window and into a strange van. The ride is silent except for the sound of struggling and even a bit of crying coming from the people in the van with you. The ride is long, you can't see, the windows are covered, and have no way of determining where you are. When you're finally pulled out of the van you're not even sure if you're in the same country, or the same world. Everything looks different, too bright, too fake, to clean, and too fantasy. People of all ages gather around, confused, and not before long a man in a crisp black suit walks towards you and the group, smiling brightly and carrying a big box. Plot Mr. Varnes has chosen you specifically to fight in his army of supernatural beings. You don't know you were special, nothing in your past has ever hinted towards anything "extra" about you. That's because your abilities were restrained on Earth, and now in this new world, Autre, the place where you belong, you have free rein to explore and perfect your powers. You are a species called Jaanvar and Autre is your home planet. Once you develop your powers and also relations with your fellow Jaanvars something happens called Synergy. Synergy between one Jaanvar and another, or more, improves abilities to their maximum limit. However, because you were stuck on Earth, you don't have time to experience Synergy at this moment. There is a war starting between Jaanvars and Tiers. Tiers have been the enemy of the Jaanvar people since the beginning of time. Mr. Varnes, the leader of the Jaanvar race, needs all the help he can get. And there's no way to get back to Earth anyway, so why not fight? Ability Classes Catastrophe The ability to manufacture tornadoes, hurricanes, lightning, fire, rain, and earthquakes. Catastrophe class Jaanvars specialize in one of the options listed, but can conjure the others with much practice. Their weaknesses are defense and speed. It is best for Catastrophe Jaanvars to avoid any physical injuries, they don't heal very quickly and have weak tolerance for attacks. Stealth The ability to move quickly, quietly, and unseen. They are the assassins. Stealth class Janvaars have the ability of camouflage, can cast transportation spells, use super speed, and the knowledge of major pressure points to kill or stun using little difficulty. Stealth Jaanvars can specialize in speed, camoflauge, or attack. Their weaknesses are close combat and strength. It is best for Stealth Jaanvars to "stay in the trees" and attack quickly and precisely. Spirit The ability to heal, conjure energy matter (either dark or light), fly, communicate with the spirit of different creatures, and regenerate. Spirit class Jaanvars can conjure energy and mold it into whatever form they wish. They can heal themselves and others and, with enough experience, bring themselves from the brink of death and others from death completely. Spirit Jaanvars are difficult to kill because they can heal themselves, but their defense is low so the hits they take are always dangerous. Spots Catastrophe Masters: 1. Mar- female- ReisePiecey 2. Each person can take up to two characters, but please do not have both with the same class. Character Template One similarity we all must have is the mark of the Jaanvar somewhere on our bodies. I don't mind profanity, just don't go too far with it, and I wouldn't like to see the 'F' word too much. I wouldn't like to see it at all if possible. 2. Don't kill off your fellow Jaanvars without their consent. 3. Please do a good job on your profiles, and also your character portrayals throughout the storybook. I want this to be very organized, functional, and fun. 4. Feel free to contribute ideas. 5. Be original. 6. Contribute meaningful posts. Don't just post for the sake of posting. 7. Do not post back to back posts, let others have a go. 8. Have fun, most of all! Join! This is my "I'm Back (again)" storybook.
