Trouble with uploading

Hello everyone, i just signed up this morning and have been trying to post the first chapter of my novel which is 7700 words long out of the 87000 which is only half my novel, so it is quite sizely. the thing is, when i paste my work into the content box all of my paragraphs are merged into one and my speech marks and inverted commas become '???'. has anyone had this problem before and/ if know how to solve it? I'm so eager to upload my work to see what people think,

Never mind guys, i just tried submitting a brand new work and it works fine, if Mods see my empty post on the Home Page then please delete.
