So I guess I was thinking about Black Star when I drew this, but I didn't use any referances. Though he may be annoying occasionally, I still like his character, especially when he get serious in a fight. What do you think? Should I draw a star on his shoulder and say that I drew Black Star? Or just keep him as sort of an imitation?

Yeah, I agree the proportions are really good! Very nice looking lines. The pose and expression are great
I think you could really amp this picture up with more shading and coloring. You already have some good basic shading here, but there's not much contrast. I'd play around with adding more highlights and shadows because everything is gray and blends a little together. Also, I think it would be cool if you detailed his eye more, add a dark pupil, color, and highlight it until it really draws attention.
I love the sketchy style you tried for this, but if you'd clean it up more I think it would look even more awesome!
