"Well," Mudd said, he really had no plan other than go out and kill bad guys, now he reckoned would be a good time for making one.
"I plan on getting out of here and taking out small groups first, the lone hunter the small squad, and work my way up and if anyone decides to help out we can work our way up. and maybe we might get a chance at sneaking into Atlantis and possibly shutting it down."
"What do you mean by shutting it down" Tesla asked.
" Well as you may know Atlantis was just a myth up until a few years ago, And I've noticed by watching movies and reading books they all sort of talk about ancient mechanisms and technology that was before our time. And then of course it disappeared, well it seems that Atlantis was right under our feet the whole time, just very deep, and The result was all of these little islands. So the plan would basically be take over one island at a time and see how that works." He stopped and took a breath waiting for some sort of reaction. Their was one of deep thought.

It wasn't the worst plan in the world, Tesla had to give him that. It definitely needed some more work though.
"How many people do you have so far?" she asks.

When John doesn't answer, Tesla raises an eyebrow.
"Is there anyone else? Or is it just the two of us? And are we supplied at all, because I don't have any weapons," Tesla says.

"Great," I say, "I like a challenge. Count me in. It sounds like the first thing we'll need is people, and your sign doesn't seem to be doing anything for us. Have you asked anyone else or do you know of anyone who you think would like to join?"

"i really-" Mudd was interrupted as David barged in.
"What are you thinking? I didn't really take you for stupid but," David paused and let go of him " look man, This whole Camp is a lot more fragile than you think the United States was taken over in days, what little military there is left will not let anyone get in the way of survival, that is the main goal of this camp they're not gonna let anyone get out of this camp."
"Well you said you found that sword on-" Mudd tried to state, Tesla just watched with interest.
"I'm cleared for most anything, look any day now the MP's are gonna come get you that much i did hear."
"Well Where did you here that?"
"It doesn't matter!" David said "Look get out of here now. Your secret searching for members, wasn't really secret and they've apparently been watching you for a while, this camp is not what everyone thinks it is. This "Resistance" doesn't exist."
Mudd was slowly processing all of this when David ran out and took down his sign.
When the information was processed, Mudd came up with a new plan that still involved the old plan just in a new way.(lol)
"Okay" he said, then looking at Tesla he asked.
"Any smart ideas? Cuz all of mine are stupid."

Tesla shrugged.
"We could go to a nearby island. We'd be able to sneak back whenever we wanted to; it's really not that well defended and like your friend says, it's weak. We could easily pick up some new recruits, if we were subtle about it. But we definitely can't trust anyone here anymore, except maybe your friend." Tesla turned to John's friend.
"Resisting IS survival now," she said, "the mere fact this camp exists is a form of resistance. It would be safer not to lie to ourselves. You should try to convince your sources that." She turned back to John.
"Let's hear your stupid plans," she said.

(P.s. This is kind of a spoiler to my novel :)
"Okay well, the first one is we get what people we can and then little b little we might be able to get some guns or something from the armory it's heavily guarded but i can get us in one way or another. After that we can store it under my tent then during the night or during a rainstorm we get out of here whether there's two of us or twelve of us. Im not gonna hang around here much longer, at the latest we get out of here the day after tomorrow."
"i can get the weapons" David said "I can't go with you but i can help."
"Okay Tesla if you can we need some information about the guards, like when they switch up or see if you can find an opening. If you don't really wanna do that, then well we might be a bit late getting out of here and by then it might be to late.

Tesla nodded, "I can do that. I'll be back in an hour."
"Okay," John said. She left the tent silently and drifted around the camp, looking to anyone else like she was just taking a stroll, sometimes stopping to seemingly inspect her dust-covered tennis shoes. Tesla was good at going unnoticed, and soon she could have been unabashedly staring at the guards if she wanted to, which she didn't just in case.
She figured out quickly that half the guards were practically falling asleep, especially on the West wall, which was the least defended since a small sandhill a little ways down the beach offered a false sense of security. As she watched, a few of the more active guards started playing some card games.
When some sandwhiches were delivered for lunch, they all immediately left their posts and flocked to the sandwhich cart, leaving the whole side completely undefended.
Tesla headed back to John's tent; she'd seen enough.
"Congratulations, we're in luck," she said, stepping into the tent, "they're all idiots." She quickly relayed to John the behavior of the guards.

After Tesla finished telling him about the guards John did his "Oh! Yeah!" jig, but Tesla gave him a stare down and he stopped instantly.
"I'll go get the weapons" he said. He ran out of the tent and found the armory, John noticed that one of the guards kept his helmet down over his eyes, probably to keep people from noticing that he was half asleep, the other guard's head was bobbing up and down. John had a simple plan; so simple he could laugh. He walked in, grabbed the weapons, and walked out.
He did have to take caution with getting the gear back through the camp, but he made it without anyone seeing him. John then dropped all the weapons on his blanket and covered them in his pillow case. A pistol, two assault rifles and flashbang. He got the last one for fun, and then his sword, that gave them a few weapons for the time being. He pulled out his backpack and stuffed a few of his snacks in, he would need some more substantial food later but they weren't leaving just yet. Then a quick notice went off in his head, ammunition the had guns, but no weapons.
"Duh" he said to himself, and went back to get ammo. He thought he heard something but he couldn't really tell. He got back with no trouble. Then the warning sirens went off. The lizards were attacking.

Tesla stayed in John's tent as he went to the get the guns, came back, left again, and came back with ammunition. Tesla was pretty sure he didn't notice she was in there though; she was so quiet. When the warning sirens went off, she froze, but only for a moment.
She grabbed and loaded one of the assault rifles in a flash. She was slightly surprised she'd loaded it so quickly; she'd never loaded this specific type of gun before.
"Do you know how to shoot?" she asked John. He didn't answer; he was too busy loading his own weapon. She sighed and rushed out of the camp. Something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention, and she ducked immediately before she realized it was just the flash of the tent flap as John stepped out. She looked around, quickly surveying the situation. It was mass chaos. No one had been prepared for this, and everyone was panicking; even a few guards ran past her, waving their forgotten weapons. The confusion of the crowd might prove more dangerous than a lizard.
Tesla tried to figure out which direction the lizards were in, but all she could see were people running. Half of them must have been running towards wherever the lizards were. She glanced to her left to ask John what direction they should head, but he was gone, either gone off in some random direction or pushed and pulled by the jostling of the people.
After standing for a moment more, Tesla decided that any way seemed as good as any other and ran down a narrow path between the rows of tents. There weren't as many people here, so she could see a little ways in front of her, though the lane was made for only one person to go down at a time, so when hysterical people pushed past her, she often was forced into one of the tents and got her foot stuck for a bit. She groaned in frustration as she yanked her foot out of the wrecked tent, their had to be an easier way! She looked around and saw the armory; the only structure that wasn't a tent. She switched directions and headed for it.
She tossed the gun onto the low roof of the one-storied building, then jumped and caught hold of the edge. She found a foot hold in the worn cement and slowly was able to pull herself up. On the ceiling, she stayed low, keeping her head down, and looked around.
The color drained from her face. She understood now why people were running in all directions. It was because the lizards were coming from all directions. They were EVERYWHERE.

This was definitely NOT part of the plan. John tried to keep up with Tesla but got knocked over by some rampaging civilian, The lizards were just killing machines, they had all sorts of ancient looking sophisticated laser weaponry things, like star wars gone crazy almost. He dodged as a ball of energy passed by, inches from his face. Then he saw David, the guy was killing lizards left and right. An explosion rocked the camp and David was lost from sight. The chaos was in itself overwhelming, the tents were on fire, people were screaming for mercy then-

John opened his eyes to an orange sky, there was a crazy burning pain in his right leg. Someone was leaning over him it was that, oh, what was her name? He struggled to remember, something red blurred his left eye's vision just a bit. sitting up as best as he could he found that chaos continued to reign. It was late evening, he could tell by the sky obviously, someone ran by and was blasted by a lizard. It-

Coming to his senses he realized he had been in an explosion.

Tesla gained consciousness, coughing. Her throat burned and she was covered with dust. She tried to wipe some of the ash from her eyes, but her arms were just as dirty. Painfully, she took a deep breath. Even though it hurt, it seemed she could breathe fine. She tested her right arm first: wiggle fingers, twist wrist, bend arm, roll shoulder. She repeated with her left arm, and found her left wrist twisted and swollen. Using a similar process, she found no broken bones in her legs. She sat up.
Her head pounded and she was forced to lay back down. She felt something cold and wet run down her ear, and found it to be bleeding profusely.
A nearby scream pierced the night. A few seconds later, another one even closer. A lizard was making its way towards her. She didn't have time to escape and didn't know if she could even sit up. She was done for. As a last-ditch attempt to save her life, she closed her eyes, turned the bloodied side of her face upward, slowed her breathing, and played dead.
As the creature neared, Tesla forced herself not to tense and instead concentrated on making the rise and fall of her shoulders as she breathed as minute as possible. The creature had to be less than two feet away from her by now. Lizards weren't stupid. It had to realize she was still alive, and even if it didn't, it would probably stab her anyways just to make sure. Tesla hoped John was still alive and had gotten out of there. If there was anything humanity needed now, it was a resistance.
There was a noise somewhere off to the right. The lizard turned and headed that way. Tesla counted to ten, still breathing as softly as possible, then opened her eyes and slowly sat up. This time, though her head hurt a bit, she was able to stay upright. Carefully, she stood up, and started making her way through the camp. She heard a groan somewhere near, and whirled around. Following the sound, she found John starting to wake up. He didn't look too good. She didn't know that much about doctoring, but she knelt down next to him to see if there was anything she could do.
Her head twisted as she caught movement, and she saw someone running. Seemingly out of nowhere, a lizard appeared and evaporated the kid. Tesla grabbed John's arm and half pulled half carried him behind the nearest tent. He had a bad limp and his forehead was bleeding, but they'd had a good head start and soon lost the lizard in the maze of tents. She knew they wouldn't be able to hide forever though.
She glanced at John and realized he was talking, but she couldn't hear him.
"What?" she asked. He talked again, but still couldn't hear him. She turned her good ear toward him.
"We've gotta get out of here NOW!" John said.
"No," Tesla snapped, "I was planning to take a stroll around first, maybe grab a bite to eat and then go." John glared at her, not appreciating her sarcasm. Tesla took a deep breath, which didn't hurt as much anymore.
"We'll need a boat," Tesla said, "if the lizards have destroyed the camp's boats, we'll need to steal one of the lizard's boats."

Oh he was in pain, Mudd did not like it when he got blown, blowing up was not on his bucket list anymore, didn't know why it was there in the first place. Tesla dragged him past the field of tents going as quickly as they could, There was still fighting and shooting but they had made it to a quiet zone. Surveying himself he was fine but his leg was "almost" badly burned. That was good in any case he thought.
"Any idea Where the boats might be?" Tesla asked, she stopped and looked around to make sure nothing was there.
"probably in the direction they came from." Tesla gave him a "duh, i knew that" look and he was dragged slowly around the camp so as to avoid any lizards. At one point they had to hide behind a tree as a looting lizard found the donut stand.
Then they made it to a broken down bit of wall, they went through and found themselves in a thick forest. And about a hundred yards ahead of them were lizards; and boats.

Tesla watched the lizards, trying to figure out if they were organized in any way. If they were, she probably could've found some way to get through; some chink in the link so to speak, but since they were spread out randomly and moving in seeming random directions, she had no idea how to get through them unnoticed.
Then she saw her way in. A small boat at the edge of the fleet was seemingly uninhabited and there weren't too many lizards in front. Even better, there were some bushes half way there to hide behind.
"Come on," Tesla whispered, tugging on John's sleeve. He followed her slowly towards the small boat, using the few remaining tents to their advantage and making sure to glance over her shoulder every few feet.
"See that bush there?" Tesla said to John. He nodded.
"See that boat there?" Tesla said, pointing at the boat she had in mind. John nodded again.
"That's the plan," Tesla said.
"Detailed," John said sarcastically.
