This cover looks like it will enfold a murder-mystery or a puzzling problem. The text gives it a sinister tone because of the dripping and the incongruous darkness, the blue sheen makes it look futuristic, the shadow/silhouette makes it look like a book for teenagers and those puzzle pieces are the key... I don't know what the book is about, but I am really curious! But the cover does not seem to show the author, not in full. I suspect that might be "Randi"? Randi who, or who Randi?

I like this cover...it looks like an action or mystery book. I think a little background information would have been helpful in telling you how well it fits the topic, but if it's called Pieces and there are puzzle pieces on it, it's probably about puzzles, real or not. That's what kind of gives it that mystery look, I hope you want it that way. As for the action, it looks like it's all exploding in your face, which would certainly catch someone's eye in a bookstore, that's for sure. One thing I don't like is the font of the title words - they look like blood, which could be intentional but totally clashes with both the color and the forms and shapes of the rest of the cover. If you have puzzle pieces and exploding light and blue shadows, a black dripping word does not appeal to the eyes at all. Also, besides the fact that Randi is not a complete author, it's much too concealed. If I was the author of this book, personally, I'd want my name a whole lot more visible. Both it's position in the bottom right corner right above a puzzle piece and its tininess contribute to its invisibility. It took me a while to even realize you had put an author on there at all, it was so concealed, so it would be much better filling up a little more of the width of the bottom of the page. But overall, I like this cover and especially the way it grabs out at you and your eyes when you see it, the way a good lead to a story grabs in your mind. Great work!
