Alright I'm new at this and I would love the pointers! I love to write and my friend recommended me to this site, but IK don't have a clue how to use it!

I would recommend you reading through this guide for new users. It just explains the basic rules of young writers society and a little bit about how to find your way around. However, the most useful thing you can do for yourself is to do a little exploring.

Welcome to YWS! I hope you like it here and that you grow to like this site as much as we do! I hope you get the hang of how things work around here soon so that you can also enjoy yourslef as easily as everyone else!

First of all, if you have any questions, you can check out this thread: Answers to questions everyone has. It's really helpful, but if you feel your questions were not answered properly or you need further help, you can look for a buddy. A buddy is someone who you can bother all day long with all your questions and someone to help you get around. Simple, right?

There are also soem places you can go to for discussions or just to relax, like The Lounge. Check it out!

So are you new to writing? If no, how long have you been writing? And what type of things do you like writing? Poetry? Prose? Lyrics? And what genre?

If you are new to writing, you should also check this place out: Ask an exert or writing tips.
