Just Joined

Hey guys, I just joined YWS, and I'm pretty excited to be a member.

First, I'll say some stuff about me, then as a writer.

I take interests in sports, music, writing, drawing, aeronautics, science and math. I play the trumpet in my school band, and I used to play the guitar, but I lost interest in that. I can somewhat play the piano/keyboard, but I'm not that good (I learn stuff off of Youtube, lol). When I get older I hope to be an Aeronautical Engineer, or to at least work with planes. I've always had an interest in them, and I have some neat ideas for some (that I hope I get to use some day). In school I get A's and B's, and I try my best because I want to get into a good engineering school some day. I also take French (my second year), so I can study abroad one day. My favorite types of music are rock, and the stuff in the 80's.

As a writer, I'm good enough for me. I get ideas for stories, and I can perfectly picture them in my head, but I can't write it out (typing doesn't help either, lol). So I need to work on that. Also, my stories tend to have a death (usually the main character), so I'm gonna work on making stories with happy endings. I prefer short stories, I find them more fun to write, but once in a while I write a story that's a few chapters long.

Oh yeah, before I let you go, you can call me Bw, Berserk, Ben, or something like that.

Welcome to YWS! You're bound to love it here - there are so many people and they all have a bunch of different interests. And for those interests, there a clubs - you can find those beneath the Clubs tab on the shiny black bar. I play the piano and I used to play the clarinet in my school band but it conflicted with piano which I was much more dedicated to.

Aeronautics sound really cool. What exactly is an Aeronautical Engineer? I'm not familiar.

Eeeeee. You're learning French! I can speak it fairly fluently but it isn't my first language - but all my schooling has been in French. It's a great language, don't you think? Do you plan on learning more than just French? There is a Global Discussion board found under the Community tab where you can practice your written French if you like. All different levels of speakers/writers are there

What kind of genres do you like to read and write? I like almost anything but horror and really sappy romances

Well, an Aeronautical Engineer is an engineer who works with planes, and stuff like that.

And yes, I think French is an awesome language, and I hope to be able to speak if fluently, so I can study abroad one day. I don't really plan on any other languages, though, because French is the only one that has m eye right now. Bye the way, is your custom title, "I am with books" ???

Hopefully I got that right, because this is my second year in French.

For Genres, I love horror, most fictions, some non-fictions, and not much else.

Cool name, btw. ^_^ Dude, you do so much stuff. Trumpet's so cool, and eek, science and maths. There's an art forum on here, so you can post your drawings and stuff there and get critiques. ^_^

If you get lost, there's the Buddy System, which is where newer members can get mentored by older members. Or, you know, you can just wing it, lol.
