My Greatest Gift from God

This is a poem dedicated to my best friend. She's awesome!

Listen to me carefully,
I won't say it again.
I'll make sure you listen,
because this is meant for you.

To my best friend,
we've known each other,
for quite a long time.
Almost since we were eight.

If I fall, you laugh.
You say I look stupid,
and then you give me a hand,
and you help me up.

Even if we're angry,
we don't need to say sorry,
because deep in our hearts,
we understand one another.

I will cry,
You will cheer me up.
When you'll cry,
I'll lift your spirits up.

I have a lot more friends,
that have known me longer than you,
but you're the best one,
because you know me better than you.

Even if we don't talk a lot,
even if we don't walk together,
in our hearts there will always be,
a bond that brings us together.

We shall never be apart,
even if you are in one country,
and I in another,
we'll remember each other forever.

I make this promise to you now,
I will never break my vow,
we will always be the best of friends,
no matter what tries to tear us apart.

This is because,
you truly are,
my greatest, most precious gift,
from God.

This was quite touching. I thought it was rather good.
The rhyming could definitely do with some work; I didn't like the way some verses didn't rhyme at all and others just repeated the same word as had been used above. The way you've set it out it really needs a rhyme pattern; you could make it all free-verse or do it a, b, a, b. Or, if you want to keep that repetitive thing like in;
' Even if we don't talk a lot,
even if we don't walk together,
in our hearts there will always be,
a bond that brings us together.'

You could do that in every verse. There's a lot of potential for this poem though; keep writing! You're only young so one day I'm sure you'll write something amazing!
