Why?
Just one question.
Tell me, please.
Why?
Was it something I did?
Or was it you?
Just tell me why.
I can't stop thinking about you, you know.
Why?
Because you've posioned me.
I had it all under control before.
Everything was in my hands.
Nothing, and no one, could touch me.
Nothing could affect me in the slightest.
And then you.
Why?
I hate you for this.
Or I would, if I could.
But I can't.
And that just makes me want to hate you more.
Why?
I'll tell you why.
I.
Don't.
Know.
To this very moment, I don't know what happened.
What got to me.
What broke through my exterior and lodged itself into my heart.
Still, why?
And to think I used to tell people off for falling so hard for someone.
When they dreamed about them asking them out.
When they acted like a moron, hoping for attention.
Why?
I'm sorry I said no.
Or, actually, nothing.
I thought I was the butt of a joke.
I didn't know you were serious.
Why?
Why me?
Why, once I'd finally gotten over him, you came alone?
I wasn't ready.
I couldn't say yes even if I wanted to.
And trust me, I wanted to.
I want to.
Why?
Can you at least talk to me?
Once, maybe.
Because seriously, I can't get you out of my mind.
And everytime I do, I always think of one mroe thing.
There's a word that has latched onto your name, forever, I think.
The only word that can be is:
Why?

okay i read your poem a couple of times and to me it sounded more of you telling a story.a narrative poem. but you did say you just felt like writing like i do at times so i'm just going to focuse on the mood. you can feel the emotions and thoughts pretty well which i like.it gives us a vivid picture in some parts. reader can relate to it, i say you did pretty well expressing:)

Just a little suggestion there. Although poetry doesn't need any solid 'format', it does help in making things clear and the poem dearer to the reader. Now what you've done is purely scattered your feelings all over the poem. If you could divide the events and stages mentioned in the poem into parts (not stanzas! I mean parts where each part refers to a different state of mind and all the parts make up a progression). A more orderly form of the poem will make it more effective and much more catchy. I hope this helps.

Like these lines

To this very moment, I don't know what happened.
What got to me.
What broke through my exterior and lodged itself into my heart.

would have had their place well in the poem if placed before these lines: -

I hate you for this.
Or I would, if I could.
But I can't.
And that just makes me want to hate you more.

But that's my thinking. I just feel that it would've fitted there much better. Do consider rearranging the poem.

P.S:

A little typo here:

Because you've#FF0000 ">posioned poisoned me.
