I'm new here and could use some help

Hey guys. I'm fairly new here. I have reviewed two stories so far (plan on doing more, of course) and am eager to start posting some parts of the novel I'm working on. Only problem is I don't know what category to put it under. It has a bunch of violence in the beginning, with some serious romance in the upcoming chapters. I don't want to let too much leak, but it starts off with a murder scene as a prologue (this whole section MAY appear later in the story as well), with a brief romance scene. The following chapter would be based on the time (not sure yet as to whether it's days, weeks, months or years) before the prologue (kinda defeats the purpose of a PROlogue, huh?). Since it is a strong mix between both Action (murder, suicide, fighting, etc.) and Romance (True love, lust, sibling love (not incest), etc.), I'm just a little stuck on trying to choose a category. Any help would be wonderful. Also, by all means, advertise your stories for me to review (ONLY YOUR OWN STORIES) if you'd like

Hey Horoku! You have such a lovely name. Are you Asian by any chance? It's a really pretty name xD I would say post it in the General Fiction novel section. Here you can post just about anything you want that has a mixture of two genres. I really like the sound of your novel There's this novel that this guy called 567ajt wrote which is brilliant. It's called Proxy, and I think you should read it. Sounds quite similar. Oh, and welcome to YWS!

Generally questions like that should be in 'Writer's Corner' (I had a question like that in another section when one of the Mods changed it for me.

For the Question, I would think that it should be in General Fiction (as suggested by... Katlyn) or you could decide what's there more of - more scenes of action or Romance. Sounds interesting I have to say. Please let me know when you post it! You can PM me (where it says PM under my name) or click my name and post it on my wall (kind of like Facebook).

I think I'm going to name my child that, but welcome to YWS. I have said this to a lot of new members but I won't get tired of it. What I'm going to say and is don't be intimidated. I usually get jealous when I read someone's writing that is way better than mine and when I get some tough reviews but hey, that's life. The reviewers on this site are pretty cool and they're really experienced so take their criticism seriously if you want to improve in your writing. Also, make deals. Like you'll follow someone and you hope (meaning follow me now!) that they will follow you back. Also, in order to write more you need to review, review, and review. If you're like me and you like to write chapter after chapter after chapter, then review like crazy.You get more followers and you get friends. Also, take your time for your reviews because these pple might want your opinion. Also don't worry if you don't get as much fans as you expect. Again....that's how life is. I wish you a lot of luck and I can't wait to read something by you.
