I peeked out of the window of the airplane,
Looking down at England but in vain.
I tried my best to face the truth,
Because I may be there through the rest of my youth.

The place where I had lived and grown,
'I am leaving' was all, I could moan.
I did not want to move away from my home,
From friends and family who were well known.

The endless journey was a quiet one,
I spent most of the time staring at the sun.
As the plane lowered and landed,
I felt as if I had been left stranded.

I believed that I had left everything,
All the goodness life could bring.
I especially felt the loss of my friends,
Who were with me until the very end.

Friends are their to love you,
To help and guide you through.
Always there, through good and bad,
When you’re happy and when you’re sad.

My best friends Katie, Meaghan and Monique,
In every way they each were unique.
All those times we played in the sun,
Those days were special and really fun.

But now I am in this new place,
With lots of new people to face.
I started to wonder how I’ll make friends here,
As my life in Waalre was drawing near.

What about school will it be harder or easier?
If the teacher is strict I’ll try hard to please her.
As I think of how I’ll try,
I try really hard not to cry.

'But what was I worried about' I say through smiles,
Which you can see for miles and miles.
Because the greatest friends I have made,
This wouldn’t have happened if in England I had stayed.

Anastasia, Aysan and Ayano,
Who all can cleverly play the piano!
They helped me through the day at school,
I began to feel oh so cool!

Friends in England, Holland or Spain,
In my heart they will always remain.
With email I can keep in touch,
With all my friends I love so much!
Trust in God and all else follows.

Hey! This is a really nice poem! But the rhyme seemed a little forced, so you might want to work on that.

Also, I actually liked this paragraph :

I peeked out of the window of the airplane,
Looking down at England but in vain.
I tried my best to face the truth,
Because I may be there through the rest of my youth.

But, as I said, the rhyme seems forced and kind of drags the entire thing down.

Anyways, remember: Whatever happens, happens for the good. Now that you've shifted, you've got new and better friends and a chance to start all over!

So good luck!

If I were to have a super power, it would be to time-travel, so that I could turn back time, and erase your very existence.

This is a beautiful poem! I recently seperated from all my best friends and my family so I definitely know what you're going through, just don't ever forget that everything happens for a reason! At any given point in time, you are exactly where you're meant to be :)

What about school will it be harder or easier?
If the teacher is strict I’ll try hard to please her.
As I think of how I’ll try,
I try really hard not to cry.

In the stanza above, to avoid repetition of the word "try" I would've changed the last line to "I'll do my best not to cry"
There's always a million ways to get a thought across! Keep writing :)
"Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for mankind."

I peeked out of the window of the airplane,
Looking down at England, but in vain. -- it seems to me that you forced this just in order to make it rhyme.
I tried my best to face the truth,
Because I may be there through the rest of my youth. -- not sure, but shouldn't this be "might"?

Friends are their to love you, -- there
To help and guide you through.
Always there, through good and bad,
When you’re happy and when you’re sad. -- this line feels too smiple...

My best friends: Katie, Meaghan and Monique,
In every way they each were unique.
All those times we played in the sun,
Those days were special and really fun.

Hm... well your poem is a good start, but you should improve the rhyme/rhythm -- especially the rhythm, because it does not compliment your poem. Better not include rhyme and have a powerful poem than struggling too much to get it. :)

Best of luck with writing!

'Looking down at England in vain' would sound better in my opinion.
Overall, really good! :) x

Three nitpicks.
1. Your title should be capitalized. Friends Everywhere.
2. I used to center my poems... until one of my teachers said that you're a lot better off having them along the side, its easier to mark how many lines there are that way, and publishers like to see them that way also.
3. Your rhythm is a tad off here and there, but it can be easily fixed.

Now that I've got looking like a jerk out of the way, I would like to congradulate you on your imagery. It was really neat seeing the different places and things that you described. THe sunset, and looking down at London, and all of these things, it was really nice =]

So overall, it needs a bit of work here and there, but you have a solid poem =]
