Hi, I'm Scotty. I write. Because duh, I'm on here.

I've been on numerous writing sites before, so I know the drill.

No, I did not get my screen name from that football player. Scotty McGee was an original character I made up in middle school. The correlation with the football player is purely coincidental.

I write in every genre, or at least I'm going to. I'm mainly focusing on fantasy now. I want to finish those stories before I move on to my regular fiction ones.

Um, I had no idea there was a football player with your name. We learn something new everyday!

Jessa pretty much explained the basics of YWS quite nicely: In order to post your own work, you need to review to get points. Also, it helps with your own writing. You see other peoples' mistakes and see how you can make your work better.

If you're unsure how to review, there are plenty of tips in different forums, but I learn better by looking at other peoples' reviews. You can just click the Discover WorkS tab, then scroll down and enter the forum that interests you. There's a wealth of information there!

Also, if you have questions and you don't know where to start looking, check out the blue question mark on the top corner (Almost) corner. The easy questions are answered there

We are sooo glad to have you on our site, It acutally isn't that hard, once you master it, and all of us are like awesome. (not bragging, but we are. there is no denying it.) Its a great way to meet other writers and, of course get reviews on your own work, and review others. You would not believe how much I've improved, and I haven't even been here a year!!
