See the fireworks?
Red’s, white’s, blue’s.
The colors reflecting in your eyes,
Making them shine, shine, shine!
The streetlights, so very dim,
Make’s your dark, tousled hair,
Electrifying!
I love you,
I cannot help it.
I hate it,
I do!
But under theses glistening stars,
I couldn’t help but feel,
Love, passion, fueled by desire!
I wanted you,
Your forgiving eyes,
Your grinning lips,
Your sweet, hidden heart,
ALL OF YOU!
I pulled you close,
Trembling arms enclosing you.
Scared, but knowing you want the same,
I lean, you lean, then FIREWORKS!
Boom! Snap! Crash!
It’s perfect, the taste of a late coke in your mouth,
How could have i missed out?
“I love you,” I whisper,
“I hate it, I do!”
You whisper it back,
And add, “and I need you!”
Our sot lips touch,
Feeling, grasping hands reach,
Finding skin, we let loose,
This animal that was inside,
It’s going wild!
The fireworks, our backdrop,
Once more,
Our lips moving to the “booms!”
Parting, only when forced for air.
Days after,
We avoided one another,
Was it a dream,
A mistake?
Was that euphoria endorsed?
It couldn’t be real,
Could it?
I’m scared to know,
Scared to feel,
Will you help me?
I scream silently in my sleep,
Remembering your arms,
The tingling on me where you were.
This emptiness, it’s horrible!
I give! I cannot take anymore!
MAKE IT STOP!!!!
