I've been a bit slow to actually posting around here, but that is because I have been away on other business and whatnot. I'm always doing something different, you know? Right now I'm listening to For those About To Rock and loving it. I'm a huge Kurt Vonnegut fan if you couldn't tell and much of what I write is inspired by him. Either that, or by music. I hope to submit some work to this place for critique in the future, as well as enjoy many good stories by writers such as myself or otherwise.
Hi SykeLiam and welcome to YWS! I must admit I haven't read a lot of Vonnegut's work, but I did read "Cat's Cradle" a while back. General rules are 1)Respect other members and their opinions, 2) No chatspeak, and 3) Review at least two other pieces for every one you post. There's all sorts of FAQ's and guides around in here and in the Question and Answer Forum, or you can a moderator (they have green names).
With that said, enjoy the site and HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE'S YOUR GIFT!

Hey SkyeLiam, and welcome to YWS! I hope you enjoy your time here. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or ask a mod (anyone with a green name). See you around!
The beautiful part of writing is that you don't have to get it right the first time, unlike, say, a brain surgeon. - Robert Cormier
Hello and welcome to YWS, Liam. I'm Ehte. If you have any queries or just want to talk just let me know. I hope you enjoy your stay here. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful and I am sure you'll fit in just fine. So what do you like to write? Poetry or Prose? I am much of a poetry person. And once again, welcome to YWS. And, I am sure you'll get addicted to this place in no time cause I got addicted really fast. It's like a world record in getting addicted. XD
Are you living for the things you are praying for?
Thanks Ehte for the welcome. I'm much, much more of a prose writer than a poetry writer...I've been known to write the occassional song or two, but most of my poetry comes off crazy and neurotic and I can't stand it. So I usually stay away from that kind of thing. Still, writing is fun no matter what form it takes...if a poem ever struck me upside the head and I felt I could take it on, I would.
My writing is mostly short stories at the moment...I haven't had the patience to sit down and attempt a full novel yet at all. However, I am working on something that may one day be a novel! And I've just had an idea for what could turn into a novella if I like it enough on paper...it may makes its way onto here pretty soon, actually.
If the rest of the community is as friendly as the people I've encountered so far, I'm sure to be addicted before long.
