The Haikus of the Periodic Table of Elements By: Alfred Symon New haikus: 16, 32, 43, 59, 63, 90 1. Hydrogen The bubble flew up To the sky without much weight How far can it go? 2. Helium The sun shun brightly But in a few thousand years The sun will go blunt 6. Carbon Rolling stones gather No algae; but what about Charcoal (It will burn) 7. Nitrogen Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! BOOM! 8. Oxygen It is not much known But do you know that Oxy Can form *gasp* acids 10. Neon An element That vibrantly glows orange The new electric 12. Magnesium ‘Click’ says the camera And a photograph slipped out It smells of fireworks 13. Aluminium The clanging upstairs Is because of the metal Used to wrap your food 15. Phosphorus It so bright, so please Close all windows; or maybe It was phosphorus… 16. Sulfur What a beautiful Brimstone you are! Oh wait, you’re Burning bright blue! Help! 17. Chlorine Ouch! That atom burnt My skin! It’s in the water! Oh wait, it’s just gas  20. Calcium My bones felt very Strong after I drank this milk So get now! (Buy here!) 22. Titanium Titans, we destroy Titans, we stand great and tall Titans, hard metal 24. Chromium It’s so colourful And bright like that looooong rainbow Except that it’s hard 26. Iron He hunts for our blood… He’s near us I can feel it… …a pain in the neck… 29. Copper It’s a good thing you Conduct; you’re so important ─electrifying─ 30. Zinc It protected iron And much more metal atoms Will it be guarded? 32. Germanium They say you can clean Lots of bacteria; tell me, Can you clean toilets? 36. Krypton Superman hates it But he has laser eyes, right? Lasers are KRYPTON! 42. Molybdenum Poor Molybdenum Always confused as lead; when Will you be the prime? 43. Technetium “Your Facebook profile Says that you’re artificial.” “I’m also stellar!” 54. Xenon Strangers are out there Never talk to them, except When they glow from air 59. Praseodymium Praseodymium Said “Camera, LIGHTS, Action!” He’s the water boy! 63. Europium Europium never Saw Europe, though it’s in his Name. (Fear of airplanes...) 74. Tungsten The embers of our Memories glow still as the Light bulb for our lives 77. Iridium Brighter than Chromium More colourful than rainbows Which one is your vote? 78, 79 and 47. Platinum, Gold and Silver Does it ring a bell? Well, yes of course! Every great Singer has one! (Me) 80. Mercury Tempers are flaring Our climate slowly heats up This world may crumble… 84 and 88. Polonium and Radium Atoms discovered By the love of two chemists How radioactive! 90. Thorium Are you related To Thor, the thunder god? ‘cause You turn dark in air 92. Uranium Once again: explode! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! A nuclear BOOM! 95. Americium “So, like, you are from America?” asked the girl. “No.” Said the atom 101. Mendelevium “They always ask me, Are you Dmitri’s son?” I’m An atom! My god! 102. Nobelium And here comes the next The noble Nobel, though fake It’s so peaceful (not!) 104. Rutherfordium First, you are Dubnium, Next, you’re Seaborgium. Now you’re Ruther... Who are you? 113, 114, 115, 116, 118. You’re names are so long, They can’t fit in my Haiku! IUPAC, think short! Postscript And that’s that! All’s well That ends well! I wish there are More atoms to write!

This is so creative! I love things that break the normal boundaries and ideas. I like Nitrogen the best!
