I'm new and not really sure what do put in this place
But I love to write a lot, and this place looks cool!
I'm Sophie, and I'm 13. I like to write fantasy and poetry mostly, though somtimes I write other stuff. Aaaand yeah, I don't know what else to put! Lol. Where do you post writing on here and how does stuff work?

YWS is a writing club in which we share our work and give feedback on others' works. Feel free to post your work here by going to Submit at the top. Or you can browse the forums to read other members' works by clicking on Discover Works at the top in bold. As long as you give helpful feedback to others so they can improve, then you will also get that kind of help as well!

Ooh, I write fantasy too! I love fantasy. It's something about stepping into a completely new and unreal world that instantly grabs me. I can make anything happen (as long as it makes sense, of course)! I'm not a poet though. There are plenty of wonderful poets here that will give you the feedback you need, but I'd be happy to read some of your fantasy if you wish to post!

So what do you do outside of writing? Any games or sports? Crafts or music?

Welcome to YWS! What Jabber said is right, just go up to the little "Submit" clicky button and you'll be fine. From there you'll need to select a genre, but it'll be pretty easy.

I like writing fantasy too, although these days I'm working more on art than literature. If you've got a drawing, painting or doodle you like, go ahead and post it in the Art and Photography thread (also reachable by using the "Submit" button) and I'll definitely check it out. (But you might need to PM me the link first, XD)

You can also PM me, but Jabbers is more important around here (Hence the fact that he has a green name) so you can PM him if you like.

Welcome to YWS. Believe me, if you love to write, you will love it here. This is a great place to learn, get some criticism and improve your writing. Some tips to help you out:

1. We do a 2:1 ratio thing here. That is, we expect 2 reviews for every 1 piece of work you post. That is however a bare minimum, it is always nice if you do more as it makes you acquainted with other people, and it helps your writing. (Seriously, one of the best things to learn how to write, is to read others work and edit it.)

2. To go along with the 2:1 ratio thing, your YWS points, are like your own bank of cash. 100 points are used to post a literary item and 50 points are gained per review.

3. As I said above, it is nice to review others work as they will want to review yours as a sort of repayment.

4. Be nice, and remember, anything is acceptable. Pictures, lyrics, short stories, poems.... There is a lot of different stuff you can do.
