I don't know why but I'm nervous to place my writing here. I'm still going to do it and hope somebody will like it. Please review my writing I can handle it. I will post when i can so you guys can read it and hopefully enjoy it. MY brother told me to join YWS and I'm really excited for people to read my writing. I guess that's all i need to say.

A lot of people are nervous about putting their work up for review. Mom's feel the same way when they drop their kids off on the first day of Kindergarden. My recommendation is that you don't think of your work as being a final product. Instead of submitting a story, think of it as submitting a draft. That way, if it gets torn to shreds, you'll be thinking about how to make the second draft better instead of "OMG! I FAIL!"
Another thing that is really addictive is reviewing. Generally it only takes one or two reviews to get on the daily leaderboards. You get points for it which you can use to post your own work. Every so often, you get awarded one of those review stars when you complete a certain number of reviews. Note the five yellow stars that Ranger has, for example.
I think you'll find YWS a very warm and inviting place. Let me know if it isn't!
Welcome to the site. Hope your enjoying yourself. We're all crazy around here but you should get used to it! If you want some help just give my a buzz or pop a note on my profile and I'll do my best to help you out! I was new not too long ago and it can get quite confusing.
Heres some tips to help you along! -Points are like YWS money. You need points to be able to submit or post any of your stories/poems etc... -To earn points you must review other peoples work. You can set up a review thread which is where people will ask you to review their work. - If you don't review for others, others mianly won't review for you. - Following people is like adding a friend. - You can submit more then stories around here! You can submit, poems, art and photography, scripts, plays, lyrics, music videos, movie/book (published) reviews and lots more!

Welcome! I'm relatively new too, but don't worry about posting your stuff! Everyone here is extremely helpful and nice, and the critique they offer does loads for your writing if you are open minded and don't get offended easily. If it sounds harsh, just remember: Its to help you better you're writing!
What do you like to write? If its something I enjoy reviewing, I'd be happy to do a review for you! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm happy to help, if its something I've figured out already. I'll admit I'm still learning, as well.
One thing to remember is that if you want reviews, you must review other people's work. The more reviews you've done, the more you'll be likely to get. Have fun and I look forward to seeing what type of writing you do!
