Spoiler
Hey there everyone.. I haven't posted anything for a while so I thought I'd post this... I wrote this for my Language Arts class. I'm a horrible rhymer - rip it to shreds if you feel the need

Thumbtack

My lizard has been speared with a thumbtack.
I don’t know why my little sister did that,
Maybe she was feeling a little out of whack.
All I know is that as I sat.
I saw my little lizard with a black tack
In his fat back.
He is a human to me,
Why couldn’t she let him be?
I thought, “My poor little Rick.”
Good thing he’s plastic.

He is a human to me, (I do like this idea, it adds some kind of emotion to the poem)

It is a fairly random subject, and it is easy to read in its simplicty. However perhaps better choice of punctuation and a more subtle style of rhyme could have been used.

This was entertaining to read, just kinda cute and funny and quirky, with its own simple little personality. I think it's kind of lacking in something that I can't put my finger on, but it's not too important anyway. Just work on your punctuation, because you put it in some funny places now and then.
