Hello

Hi everyone! My name is Hope and I am an aspiring writer. Few of my peers share this dream of mine, so I joined this website to post work, review pieces, and do the one thing that scares me the most- mingle with fellow writers. Although I must say, I have been looking at this site for the past couple of days wondering whether to join or not, and all of you seem to be really nice people. Thanks for that.
So I suppose this is where I tell all of you about myself. Well, I'm 13 (14 in a month), I play guitar, piano and ukelele and I sing. You can call me a bookworm because I almost always have my eyes glued to a thick 500+ page book. You can say I'm pretty shy at first, but once you get to know me you can't get me to stop talking. I write a lot of song lyrics and poems in my spare time. I also write and read a lot of fanfiction. I'm currently writing three novels (I'm going back in forth) and am preparing for Script Frenzy when it comes in April.
That's really all I got. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you!

First off, I want to say that you definitely made the right choice in joining YWS because, besides being filled with really nice people, this is literally the greatest website EVER!
Okay, maybe my opinion is a bit biased but you get where I'm going with it, right. We're pretty amazing.

Also, yay for being a script writer! We don't have nearly enough people interested in scripts (you can check out the script forum here) so it's a good thing you came along.

Besides, music, writing, and reading, what else do you like to do?
What's your favorite book?
Vanilla or Pecan Swirl?

Oh, I totally know what you mean about being nervous about getting to know other people. I lurked on here for about a month before I joined, but I was really glad once I did because everyone's incredibly friendly. The literary forums are the place to go if you want to post work or review other peoples, but there are loads of other features that are also worth checking out, like blogs and storybooks and the community forums. What fandoms do you like reading/writing for? And what are your favourite genres?

Nice to meet you. You sound like you're all ready to go - can't wait to see your writing. There are plenty of writers on here who share your dream and will be most helpful in making improvements/giving you feedback. If you have any questions at all, feel free to post on my wall or PM me. Hi! Call me Kafka. Glad you came across the site! It was definitely a great choice getting an account here. There's never a shortage of things to do - from reading poetry, to writing novels, to welcoming new users (aha!), to, yes, mingling and socializing with other users. It's great; if you like writing, this is the place to be.

Song lyrics are more than welcome. It is a constantly growing forum. So not only will lyrics not in the least sound out of place, you can get ideas by reading other people's verses. But from what I'm reading, you're pretty much an all-arounder. That's great! We've got specialists here, we've got people who write in maybe a couple different forums, but some of the most experienced among us are "360" writers, like you.

Don't worry, you'd need to be Superman not to be shy during the first couple weeks here. But once you really get to know some of the users, you become very social.

Anyway, welcome again. Hope you enjoy your stay!
