Hi,
My name is Jenny and i am of course quite new to this site. Apart from writing and reading i like food, music ( alternative preferred but anything goes) and day dreaming. My favorite book series are 'Harry Potter' and 'The Dresden Files' which both involve wizards by the name of harry. I also love LOTR and 'Pride and Prejudice'.
I've already had a look around and i really like this site. Hopefully can utilize all the knowledge and experience in this site and improve my writing. I have posted a poem so feel free to read that. :D

Hey there Jennya.

Welcome to YWS! 8D

I hope you're going to enjoy this site as much as we do. You love Harry Potter? So do I. And I'm a bit sad because they are going to release soon their last movie, and the book is awesome by the way. I'm happy to know that you like this site, because I think everyone here is. And also, get yourself familiarize by simply roaming any forums here. You can write about yourself in About the Authors or you can go to chat, where you can meet and gain new friends all over the world. And feel free to post any of your literary pieces, get critiques and last but not the least, review too. :)

Let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see more of you around soon. :D

Peace out,
Yuri

Hey, Jenna! Call me Kafka. I'm glad you signed up! :)

I love Harry Potter. I've read the series three times and I still can't get enough of it. I can't believe that we have to wait another six months for the next one. Gonna be epic, especially that last scene. My favorite characters are by far Luna Lovegood and Bellatrix Lestrange. What about you?

As far as music, I'm actually listening to my iPod right now. "Texarkana," by REM. If you are a fan of alternative, then you probably haven't heard of it. Personally, my favorite genre is electronic, but no one else in my family likes it, so it's hard to listen to it outside of my headphones.

I can assure you that this site will be helpful. I've been signed up for less than a month and I already am absolutely addicted.

Well, hopefully you found my ranting about Harry Potter and music welcoming in some way or another. I'll keep an eye out for more of your work!

Heya :) The name's Ear. Welcome to YWS!

I hope you enjoy your stay here - there are definitely a lot of people here who are more than willing to help you improve in your writing and technique, including myself. If you have any questions at all, feel free to send me a private message and ask, or just post it on my wall, or anyone's wall really. We're all pretty much ready to help out. :P

Harry Potter's awesome, and so is Lord of the Rings. I'm also a big fan of the Eragon series, but the author hasn't finished it yet, so bleh. It will be so awesome (and slightly sad) when the final Harry Potter movie comes out. So stoked. :D

Alternative music is great - what/who are your favorite bands/artists?

Anyway. I'll get to that poem soon. In the meantime, hope this site works well for you and that ya stay a while! Like Kafka said, it's been less than a month, and I'm already addicted. This place is fantastic.

Seeya 'round!
