YWS has been extremely successful in that space of time, which I think really speaks to the quality of members here. We got the thinkers, the writers, the dreamers, and the chatters. And everyone gets along really well; there are some disputes between members, but nothing that even constitutes a minor problem. So thank you everyone for being good people
Now as YWS turns one year old, I want to set a lofty goal; namely, 900 registered members by November 14th. Thanks to word of mouth and advertising on writing.com, we gained 125 members in September (the next highest was 84 back in February, and it was only 50 in August). By Oct. 9th at 10:15 p.m. EST, we've already added 45 new members for the month of October!
900 is a huge number to reach in just a little over a month, but we're already going to hit at least 850 by November 14th, so it's only 50 more members to get. To do this, I need everyone to tell their friends about this site. Don't ask them to register or anything like that, just point them to the site. Then, if they like it, encourage them to register. But please don't have friends register that are never going to post. If every active member just gets .33 friends to sign up, we'll hit 900 members easily. So if you got a third of a friend hanging around somewhere, ask him/her to check out YWS!
