I joined this site because like everyone else here, I love to write. Unfortunately I've been having a lot of problems with my writings. I've only EVER been able to make it to the begining of Chapter two. Most of my attempts at sitting down and trying to write I end up either just sitting there blankly looking at my computer screen or I'm able to write a paragraph. I've tryed writing short stories but I dont know how, I'm used to thinking up stories that are novel length. Like now, I have my writing document up. There are so many things that I could write about. Angels, demons, faries, elves, dragons and the list goes on and on. Just putting all that together and seeing the outcome of a novel that I wrote would be a great feeling......If I could do it. Another reason I joined this site to see if I could get any inspiration and maybe steal a story or two. (just kidding ^^) So, I cant wait to read everyones writing and we'll see how quickly I can upload a story of my own. ^.^V

If you need some writing advice, I would recommend posting your first chapter or two of a story that you're really confident with (make TRIPLE SURE that you check your conventions, add descriptive words, and explain your story XD) and see what people say. You can also say at the end, "Help! I need some ideas to continue this series/story!" and people will help!

Hey Shira Yurri! Welcome home . I totally get what you're saying though. Some story ideas I get just don't extend as far as chapt 2.
I think you'll find a place here though. Reading other people's work is the best way to improve your own. There's a ton of tips and tricks to help your writing. You can browse the Community Forum and see all the helpful and fun stuff the other members post.

You like Fantasy? Join a club! There are clubs that fit almost anyone's interests. You can find clubs on the main toolbar. Just look up.

And a warm welcome to YWS! I very much hope you enjoy your time here - there is so much to do besides just writing! You can make a blog and read others blogs. You can chat on the chat room. You can submit art or photography to the forum just for that. You can join a club or make a club. You can do pretty much anything you would want in a community of really friendly people
I know the feeling of getting stuck after chapter 2. I do that a lot. But the best thing to do to get around that is to read other books and of course peoples writing on here, you can see then how they have laid out their plot and get some ideas I used to love just fantasy stuff and that would be all I ever wrote but now I am more into writing different genres thanks to YWS because of the encouragement I have had. So I hope you get the same!
