Why hello there, fair reader. I see you have decided to open up this particular thread of mine out of all the other threads in this here forum. I am most flattered. Truly. To think that you would be interested in learning more about me, a late visitor to this here site, makes me feel most gratified, and so I shall commence with my self-introduction without any further ado.

I have been around the site for quite some time lurking, observing the workings, and generally finding myself most comfortable here. I have been meaning to create this account for quite some time, but it is only now that I finally have found the impetus to actually do so. While it is unlikely I will post work of my own on this account, rest assured that I have plans to review with at least some regularity.

I am quite fond of all things fantastic and scientific, with that which is romantic being a somewhat guilty pleasure. As such, the aforementioned, sans romance, is what I write. As writing is more a hobby than anything else for me, I have no plans to actively pursue publication at the moment, though should an opportunity present itself, I would of course leap at it.

I hope to find in YWS a place to relax, make friends, and at the very least entertain and be entertained. Here is to a long and fruitful relationship, YWS.

The way you write has a reformed style that I just can't pinpoint, but it is simply brilliant. I'm glad that you joined. Like myself it is always nice to see other lurkers who end up joining the site. I assume that for the most part you know your way around the site so nothing to say there, but definitely check out the chat room for some awesome conversations. I look forward to seeing your unique writing in the future.

Hello, ArticulateOverload! Welcome to the wonderful world of young writers!

Aww, there is just something about you that screams adorable! Are you British? You seem like you would be British? Anyway, I'm very glad that you choose to join this site. I hope you find it to be very interesting! The community here is amazing and everyone really is nice. I see you are already excited about reviewing, that is, after all, a good way to get started. I like reviweing too but, sadly, I have not been reviweing that much lately. I do hope to start up again soon though!
I'd like to know more about you, my dead Artie. Like where you're from. What's your favorite color. What type of music you listen to. You know, the works. Naturally, I like to know everything I possibly can about new members. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not some creepy stalker like girl, but I am very curious. Curiosity did kill the cat though. I guess it's a good thing I don't have a tail. Or fur. Or cat ears. Anyway, that's beside the point! As I'm sure I've said before, welcome to YWS! I hope you have lots of good times here!

You truly think so? I am surprised (but quite pleased) that I made such an impression with my first post.

Oh my. I am dead? Whenever did that happen?

I am not British, however I am flattered you thought I was. A number of my favorite authors are British.

My favorite colors are corundum blue and red. I enjoy listening to instrumental music, especially classical, with a bit of melodic metal on the side.

And while curiosity may have killed the cat, satisfaction brought it back.

Welcome to the site! Seems you've already been gotten to by the welcome comity, and despite having checked out your profile first I figured it wouldn't hurt to welcome you to the site here!

Classical is a favourite genre of mine— I love listening to it for relaxing. A favourite singer of mine is Josh Groban. Ever heard of him? And I've never heard of melodic metal, but I tend to avoid anything with "metal" in the genre title. Any more quiet recommendations?

And I must say, that quote (satisfaction brought it back) is one of my favourites. I like cats, and being curious, so it's the only part of that saying that makes it palatable for me.

Hope you enjoy the site! I think you won't really need this, having lurked around for so long, but if you ever run into any snags feel free to PM me. The light green name means I'm a junior mod; tis my job to help people get settled into YWS.
